What we will do?
We are going to walk through the snow in 2 different mountain areas in Macedonia; Jablanica and Pelister National Park. We gather in Struga on Monday and from there we leave for Vevčani. From this special village we start our hike towards the mountain hut located on Jablanica Mountain. We'll spend the night here and maybe we'll make a snow cave to sleep in. The next day we go down via a different route. Then we continue our adventure towards Pelister park where we spend the night in a typical Macedonian ski hotel. The next morning the snowshoes are put on again and we enjoy beautiful views over this park. We stay this night in the cozy mountain hut Golem Ezero located on a lake at 2218m. We continue our route over 3 peaks of this park. While slogging through the snow, we enjoy phenomenal views. We descend towards a picturesque village where we are picked up to rest our legs, enjoy a traditional Macedonian meal and have a pleasant last evening. How to get there:
